27 September 2023 An inventory of varieties and cultivars of domestic breeders that were tested at the Iridarium was carried out. To the 110th anniversary of the birth of G.I. Rodionenko together with V.I. Dorofeev published an article in the Botanical Journal. Memoirs of colleagues and excerpts from archival documents related to the life of Georgy Ivanovich Rodionenko served as material for this generalization. The name of Georgy Ivanovich is widely known among botanists in our country and around the world. Georgy Ivanovich, first of all, is known to everyone as the creator of the Iridarium of the Botanical Institute. V.L. Komarova (RAN). For 35 years he was the scientific curator of the Kasatikov collection of the Botanical Garden of the BIN RAS.
